One well-told case study weighs more than ten loose screens.
About remote Design jobs
In design, the portfolio is a central part of the application. A strong case study explains the problem, the options you weighed, the decision you made and what you learned from the result.
Many remote roles expect collaboration with product and engineering. If you have worked with design systems, research, prototypes or handoff to development, show it with clear examples.

Frequently asked questions
What should my portfolio include to apply for remote design jobs?
Include case studies with context, process and outcome. It is better to explain a few projects well than to show many screens with no story behind them.
Are graphic design and product design the same kind of role?
Not necessarily. Read the description to confirm whether the role focuses on brand, interfaces, research or a mix of those areas.
